Announcing Anne Cosette Morrison

The big day finally arrived. Anne was born at 4:54 pm on Saturday August 23rd. She was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 in long. Emily came to me at around 12:30 this afternoon while I was preparing to go to the library to study. She comes in and said, "I think my water just broke!" We rushed down to the hospital and weren't there just over four hours. If anyone had heard about the traumatic experience with the first baby, this one went much better. Emily got an epidural and was able to really enjoy the baby being born. And the best part, although it didn't matter as much because of the epidural, she only had to push about ten minutes before the baby came out! Mom and baby are doing great, and Connor loves being a big brother! He kept saying baby when he saw her and was just in love with her the moment he saw her. We actually had a hard time getting him to leave, and when I got home with him he just wanted to look at pictures over and over.

It has been a great day.
